North York General Hospital (NYGH) and the University of Toronto invite applications for the joint position of Gordon F. Cheesbrough Research Chair in Family and Community Medicine and Director, UTOPIAN – the University of Toronto Practice-Based Research Network.
The Gordon F. Cheesbrough Research Chair in Family and Community Medicine was established at NYGH to support an outstanding academic individual with a demonstrated track record in research excellence. This individual will also be the Director of UTOPIAN, which is a practice-based research network of 14 academic family medicine teaching units affiliated with the University of Toronto Department of Family and Community Medicine (DFCM).
Candidates for the position will hold an MD and/or PhD, with a track record of research achievement relevant to Family and Community Medicine and experience leading multi-site research collaborations. Experience with practice-based research networks and use of electronic medical records are assets.
