Virtual Q&A: 2026 DFCM Waddington Research Fellowship Awards

The DFCM Investigator Awards Program is pleased to announce the 2026 Waddington Fellowship Awards, now open for applications from community-site DFCM faculty members. These awards are made possible through the generous support of the Waddington Family Fund.

The purpose of the Waddington Fellowship is to provide protected time for DFCM faculty at community-based sites who have demonstrated a strong interest in research and wish to develop their research skills, capacity, and future independent research programs through mentored research activities.

Up to two (2) fellowship positions are currently available. For each position, DFCM will contribute $20,000 annually for up to two years to protect 40% of the faculty member's time for research, with enhanced matched funding required from the applicant's site or another eligible funding source.

To assist potential Waddington Fellowship applicants, a virtual drop-in Q&A session will be held on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Please email the Research Program Administrator if you are interested in attending and receiving meeting details.
