The DFCM Open website is a repository of peer reviewed, evidence-based, family-medicine focused tools and resources that are clinical, educational or research-oriented in nature. Anyone with an Internet connection can access DFCM Open, though it is aimed at an audience of family physicians and primary care health professionals. Material for DFCM Open may be submitted by DFCM faculty members. For group submissions, at least one author must be from the DFCM and a DFCM faculty member must be the one to submit the material. Material is peer reviewed by DFCM faculty members.

Medical Education Online is a peer-reviewed international Open Access journal for disseminating information on the education and training of physicians and other health care professionals. It was launched in 1996 as the first ever freely available online journal in the field of medical education and has since then grown to become a highly regarded source of information in this area. MEO publishes Editorials, Original articles, Review articles, Letters to the Editor, and Book reviews.

MedEdPORTAL Publications maintains a rigorous peer review process based on standards used in the scholarly publishing community. Each submission is scrutinized by editorial staff and independent reviewers using a standardized review instrument grounded in the tenets of scholarship. Accepted publications receive a formal citation and are considered pieces of educational scholarship that may be referenced in support of faculty advancement decisions.
