Special Features of Site

Mount Sinai Hospital's (MSH) preceptors have a long history of excellence and experience in teaching. Each community practice has its own additional specific areas of interest, which will introduce you to a broad spectrum of family medicine (e.g., geriatric care, addictions medicine, sports medicine, psychotherapy/counselling, special needs patients, etc.) MSH’s family practice also has a very strong family medicine obstetrical program which we will encourage your involvement in. There are also potential opportunities to work with family medicine residents and to do half day of palliative care home visits. Emergency medicine shifts can often be arranged.

Mandatory Experience

  • One obstetrics call shift
  • One palliative care shift

Clerkship Electives/Selectives

There are no formal electives but we will do our best to match you with preceptors who may share your interests.
