Transforming Primary Health Care: from Spain to Europe

This event is hosted by the WHO European Centre for Primary Health CareWe in collaboration with the Ministry of Health of Spain and the European Observatory on Health Systems and Policies.

Join us on March 11 from 10:30am to 1:30pm to learn about the Transforming Primary Health Care: from Spain to Europe symposium.

Spain has much to share on how to transform towards a primary health care-driven health system that produces excellent outcomes with consistent policies and innovations. However, Spain’s experience also demonstrates that even well-performing health systems can face challenges. Read our case study for more details.

During this symposium, we will launch two significant publications:

  • "Primary Health Care Transformation in Spain: Current Challenges and Opportunities | Primary Health Care Policy Paper Series". This case study provides insights into advancing and fortifying primary health care, offering an international audience a glimpse into Spain's model of care.
  • "Implementing the Primary Health Care Approach: A Primer." This global study compiles evidence from various countries on their primary health care-oriented health systems. With contributions from 70 authors and 50 contributors, it promises to be a comprehensive resource.

We look forward to your participation. Please save the date and register to join us online.
