Patient Engagement Resources for Faculty & Staff

Complete the Patient Engagement Consultation Request Form if you have a new project, would like to involve patient partners, or would like ideas or guidance on how patient engagement could support your work.

Complete the Patient Engagement Planning Form after meeting with the Patient Engagement Specialist and confirming your engagement approach. You can also complete the form directly if you are renewing or continuing patient partner involvement that is already underway.

Review the Patient Engagement Cost Guide and ensure appropriate funding is available for the planned engagement activities and patient partner involvement.

Work with the Patient Engagement Team to identify and match patient partners whose interests and experiences align with your project. You can also learn more about the patient partners in our Patient Partner Pool

Confirm the patient partner role, expectations, timelines, meeting arrangements, and any information or materials patient partners will need to participate meaningfully.

Begin working with your patient partner(s). The Patient Engagement Team remains available throughout the engagement if you need advice or additional support.

Keep the Patient Engagement Team informed of any significant changes to the patient partner's role, project timeline, or planned involvement.

At the end of the engagement activity or year of involvement, the Patient Engagement Team will invite both you and the patient partner(s) to complete a short feedback survey about your experience. Your feedback helps us understand how the engagement worked, identify opportunities for improvement, and strengthen our patient engagement supports and processes.
