The Office of Education Scholarship is pleased to announce our next Virtual Journal Club on Thursday, November 28, 12:30-2:00 pm. We will be discussing Bernard C. Dr. Milena Forte is a staff physician at the Mount Sinai Academic Family Health Team. She is a clinician educator and associate professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine where she serves as the Maternity Care Lead as well as the Postgraduate Lead for the Office of Education Scholarship. Her health professions education research focuses on teacher-learner relationships, professional Identity and assessment. She has authored several articles, two book chapters and is the creator and lead editor of the recently published anthology entitled: Full Circle, A Collection of Family Medicine Birth Stories.

Dr. Tavis Apramian is clinician-investigator in medical education and palliative care at the University of Toronto. He holds an MA (English Literature), an MSc (Narrative Medicine), and a PhD (Health Professional Education). He works as a palliative care physician at St. Michael’s Hospital, an assistant professor in the Department of Family & Community Medicine, and a scientist in the Department’s Office of Education Scholarship. His research program includes primary palliative care education, workplace-based education and assessment, and end-of-life care.
