Agenda & Program Information

MD Student Advocacy Showcase

Join us for U of T DFCM’s first virtual MD Student Advocacy Showcase on June 23, 2022, with the theme "Supporting patients in their communities."

In each session, MD students will present Family Medicine Advocacy Projects and share how the work has impacted their perception of — and approach to — patient care and the broader health system. The MD Showcase is open to all residents, learners, staff and alumni, including all those at the Temerty Faculty of Medicine, as well as local and international friends of the department.

The plenary is on the topic, "Seizing the Moment: Moving from Advocacy to Organizing," by Dr. Danyaal Raza, DFCM Faculty Lead in Social Accountability.

When registering, attendees select 1 room in each of the AM and PM sessions below. Rooms are broadly divided based on U of T's hospital sites, and each room features several student presentations. Select these 2 rooms when registering.

This MD Advocacy Showcase: Supporting Patients in their Communities event has been certified for up to 6.25 Mainpro+® credits.
