St. Michael’s Academic Family Health Team is inviting applications from qualified family physicians for a full-time academic position to take over an existing practice of approximately 650 patients, with the option to further build the practice, at our Wellesley St James Health Centre site, located at 95 Homewood. Responsibilities will include providing comprehensive clinical care and teaching undergraduate and postgraduate learners.
Required qualifications
The successful candidate must be a family physician with a demonstrated interest and experience in working with marginalized populations in an inner-city context, with a focus on men’s health and HIV primary care. Must hold a MD degree and certification in Family Medicine from the College of Family Physicians of Canada. Extra training in HIV primary care, interest in working with complex patients and prior clinical experience will be considered assets for the role. The candidate will have a strong interest in teaching learners and practicing in a team-based model. The successful candidate should be eligible for an academic appointment within the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the University of Toronto.
