Clinical Associate- Comprehensive Family Medicine & Low Risk Obstetrics

Mount Sinai Hospital is a fully accredited community teaching hospital providing care to a culturally and economically diverse population. The Mount Sinai Family Health Team is a dynamic group strongly committed to the care of our patients, with expertise in low-risk obstetrics, mental health, and care of the elderly. We have a large team made up of our MDs, NP, RNs, social workers, dieticians and pharmacist and have access to testing and consultants within our hospital. We use PS Suite (formerly Practice Solutions) for our electronic medical records.
Job Description:
One year term July 1, 2025 - June 30, 2026 with possibility for extension.
Clinical responsibilities:
Comprehensive family medicine 3-4 half days per week
Low risk OB/antenatal/intrapartum care at Mount Sinai Hospital.
On Call:
Obstetrics- in Soft or Hard Call System approximately eight 24-hour call shifts each 6 month block plus 1-2 holiday call days per year
Family Medicine Afterhours Clinics and Call- approximately 2 evenings per month & 2 weekends every 3 months
Required qualifications:
The successful candidate has a strong interest and experience in teaching, is comfortable working in a multidisciplinary team, and must hold an MD degree and certification with both the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario and the College of Family Physicians of Canada with an independent license to practice in Ontario. Training in low risk obstetrics is also required. We would consider candidates completing their PGY3 low risk obstetrics training in the 2025-2026 academic year.
