Job description:
The Sinai Health Division of Hospital Medicine is seeking locum part-time hospitalists to join the team at Hennick Bridgepoint Hospital (a 440-bed post-acute care hospital). Hospitalist(s) will work on complex continuing care (CCC) units but may also rotate to any inpatient unit at including rehabilitation units. The CCC program consists of 54 CCC beds and the team includes a Nurse Practitioner who will work in collaboration with the hospitalist. All 54 patients will be admitted under the hospitalists. Required qualifications:
Education:
CCFP or FRCP certification. Additional training in Hospital Medicine is desirable
Experience:
Clinical, teaching, quality improvement and/or research experience in the community or academic teaching hospitals is desirable.
Degrees, Licensure and/or Certification:
Physician will have an active licence in good standing with the CPSO in accordance with the Medical Staff Bylaws of Sinai Health.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Technical:
Clinical training and skills as mandated by the CCFP and FRCPC.
Non-Technical:
Ability to work with others in a cooperative, inter-professional and collaborative manner.
Strong written and oral communication skills
For clinician educators and clinician researchers, strong clinical teaching and research skills respectively
