BRA Day - Breast Reconstruction Awareness
BRA Day is an initiative that promotes education, awareness and access for women considering post-mastectomy breast reconstruction.
At a BRA Day event, leading plastic surgeons provide breast reconstruction education and are available to answer your questions. Among the highlights of BRA Day is the Show & Tell Lounge, sponsored by the Canadian Cancer Society – an innovative space where patients with lived experience show attendees the real-life results of their breast reconstruction.
BRA Day intends to:
- EDUCATE women on their breast reconstruction options (including flat closure)
- EMPOWER women to make the choice that’s right for them
- CONNECT women with others who have been through it
Breast reconstruction may not be the right choice for every woman, but every woman deserves to have access to accurate, unbiased information so that she can make an informed decision.
BRA Day will be offered in a hybrid format, providing comprehensive information on breast reconstruction and enabling participation from a nationwide audience through both in-person and virtual attendance options.
