DFCM Undergraduate Community Preceptor Faculty Development Evening
September 11, 2024 from 6:00pm - 8:15pm on ZOOM
This annual event provides faculty development specifically aimed at our community-based preceptors who teach FMLE, Elective, TTR and Clerkship students, recognizing the unique challenges we face while teaching in distributed educational sites.
The session is accredited for 2 hours Mainpro+
Our agenda will include the following 2 presentations:
- Digital Health: Teaching with AI and Clinical Decision Making

Goals and Learning Objectives:
At the end of these presentations the physician will be able to:
- describe briefly what artificial intelligence is and how it may be used to augment clinical practice
- have a lifelong/continuous learning approach to learning about and incorporating new clinical decision-making tools into clinical practice and how to teach this skill with learners
- categorize 3 different types of feedback and list 5 characteristics of effective feedback
- describe the role and limitations of self-assessment in professional development and practice giving feedback using a structured model
