Food as Medicine
Join healthcare professionals from across Canada on Monday, November 30, 2026, for the Food as Medicine 2026 Update: 10 Years of Turning Knowledge into Practice, available both in person at the Li Ka Shing Knowledge Institute in Toronto and online.
Celebrating a decade of evidence-based nutrition education, this accredited symposium will explore emerging topics in nutrition and lifestyle medicine, including the microbiome, plant-based nutrition, GLP-1 therapies, healthy aging, personalized nutrition, nutrition misinformation, and more.
The program also features the 2026 Rundle-Lister Lectureship in Transformative Nutritional Medical Education, delivered by Dr. Sonia Anand, Professor of Medicine and Epidemiology at McMaster University. Her keynote lecture, From Plate to Brain: Dietary Intake, Brain Imaging and Cognitive Function in Global Populations, will examine the relationship between diet and cognitive health.
Who should attend?
Family physicians, medical trainees, and other healthcare professionals interested in nutrition and chronic disease prevention and management. Medical trainees may attend online free of charge.
