Research Rounds

We are excited to kick off the 2025–2026 Research Rounds season with “The Impact of Dependency and Serial Correlation in Matched Interrupted Time Series Analysis: Methodological Considerations” presented by Dr. Rahim Moineddin.

In addition to this exciting keynote presentation, the session will include time for networking and socializing with attendees. Light refreshments and food will be provided. For those unable to attend in person, a Zoom link for virtual participation will be included in the event calendar invitation. In-person attendance is strongly encouraged.

Event speaker: Dr. Rahim Moineddin, DFCM

Dr. Moineddin has performed extensive research in biostatistics and primary care research. He has a strong theoretical background in statistics, biostatistics and methodology and has collaborated with many senior health science researchers over his career. 

Moineddin’s contributions in research always go well beyond the statistical analysis of complex data or the provision of methodological advice; rather, he provides in-depth participation in research design and methodological approaches and the subsequent translation of important research findings into practical knowledge. He makes strong contributions to the interpretation of statistical analyses and communicates his findings effectively in the manuscripts on which he collaborates. Dr. Moineddin has extensive experience with large administrative data bases, specifically those located at the Institute for Clinical Evaluative Sciences, and the Canadian Community Health Surveys which are linked to ICES health services data. He has in-depth knowledge of Time Series analysis, multi-level modelling, analysis of correlated data, randomized and clustered randomized controlled clinical trials and was lead biostatistician on several clinical trials research projects.

Dr. Moineddin has provided exceptional supervision and mentorship to countless health sciences students. He has a wealth of knowledge in advanced statistics and methods and has the ability to translate complex issues into bite size pieces to enable students to grasp complex theoretical concepts in statistics. In addition to his ability to teach complex theory he is extremely proficient in SAS programming and advanced statistical models.
