Research Synopsis
I am a Clinical Epidemiologist and the Director of Research at the Schwartz/Reisman Emergency Medicine Institute (SREMI) at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto, Ontario. I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Family & Community Medicine and did my PhD work with Dr. Gordon Guyatt at McMaster University in the Department of Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics (now the Department of Health Research Methods, Evidence, and Impact). I have over 15 years of experience working in emergency medicine and my expertise in clinical research methodology and biostatistics has been sought for protocol development and analysis planning strategies. I have published 50 papers in a varied array of emergency medicine topics. My main academic interests include shared decision making in the acute care setting, network meta-analysis, clinical decision rules, and guideline development and adherence.
