Job Description:
The UHN Department of Family and Community Medicine is seeking applications from a qualified primary care physician for a full-time academic position located at the Bathurst site of the Toronto Western Family Health Team. This position qualifies for a FHO spot, and will take over and build upon an existing large mature practice. The successful candidate will work with the Toronto Western Family Health Team (twfht.ca for further details), which includes a broad array of allied health professionals, plus a sports medicine certified physician, psychiatrist, pediatrician, dermatologist and neurologist.
Candidates must hold a MD degree, and certification with both the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario and the College of Family Physicians of Canada. Previous experience working with medically complex patients is preferred. Also required is training in low risk obstetrics, as the successful candidate will become part of our low risk obstetrics group (delivering at Sinai Health System). Candidates must have excellent clinical and teaching skills. The successful candidate will be eligible for a full-time academic appointment within the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the University of Toronto.
The start date is anticipated to be mid to late 2025, latest January 1, 2026.
