I am looking for locum coverage from late Jan/early Feb 2025 for a maternity leave that may extend for the remainder of the year.
I have a practice at the edge of Scarborough/Pickering at West Hill Medical Centre. We are a group of 7 FHO docs. I have 1250 rostered and ~100 unrostered patients in my practice, mostly young women and babies, all of them lovely!
We have MOAs for measurements, urinalysis, urine hcg, vaccine prep, assistance with procedures (e.g., IUD insertions, endometrial biopsies), scanning/faxing, preparation of documents for legal/insurance purposes, etc.
EMR is Oscar with access to Ocean and PrescribeIT. I typically work out of 2 rooms and use the shared doctor's office for charting between patients.
I generally find the workload very manageable (e.g., each day notes are done, billing submitted, and inbox emptied). Most appointments are 15 minutes (no double booking) and I will generally see ~10-12 patients per half day.
Job description:
I am looking for 6 half days per week + inbox coverage. I cover one evening per week (which would be part of the 6 half days) and one Sunday per month (9:30-3:00) which works as a walk-in only for the patients registered with the clinic. There is also the opportunity to join the FHO and start your own practice.
Rate: $500/half day + 3rd party billing/shadow billing (minus 25% overhead). I generally exceed $1000 per month in 3rd party billing alone.
