The CHEC-CESC mission is to provide an online environment and associated commons to share educational materials, designs and practices associated with healthcare education in whatever form across the continuum and between professions in Canada. The CHEC-CESC Commons is a place to support collaborative learning and teaching for the health professions. Members can interact, share, and create resources in a secure and simple online environment. CHEC-CESC is designed and open to all Canadian faculties of medicine and their associated faculty, students and staff.

MedEdPORTAL Publications promotes educational scholarship and collaboration by facilitating the open exchange of peer-reviewed health education teaching and assessment resources. MedEdPORTAL Publications maintains a rigorous peer review process based on standards used in the scholarly publishing community. Each submission is scrutinized by editorial staff and independent reviewers using a standardized review instrument grounded in the tenets of scholarship. Accepted publications receive a formal citation and are considered pieces of educational scholarship that may be referenced in support of faculty advancement decisions.

Description: MedEdWorld is an international health professions community of individuals and educational organisations whose purpose is the sharing of information, ideas, experience and expertise. MedEdWorld includes: MedEdWorld Publish, a e-library of previously unpublished papers relating to health professions education; a new database of Masters’ courses in health professions education; and the MedEdWorld Glossary, a dynamic database that is a source of information about the expanding vocabulary used in medical education. This will support institutional members who require educational assistance in specific areas to identify consultants with appropriate expertise.
