Granovsky Gluskin Family Medicine Centre
Students will be assigned to community-based practices (locations across Toronto) or the Mount Sinai Academic Family Medicine Unit.
We also have a unique opportunity to work at the new Vaughan Mount Sinai Academic Family Practice Team. If you are interested in this opportunity you can advise our site director once you have been matched.
Mount Sinai Hospital's (MSH) preceptors have a long history of excellence and experience in teaching. Each community practice has its own additional specific areas of interest, which will introduce you to a broad spectrum of family medicine (e.g., geriatric care, addictions medicine, sports medicine, psychotherapy/counselling, etc.) The MSH site has special programs devoted to diabetes, mental health, maternity care, and a strong family medicine obstetrical program. The program takes a collaborative and multidisciplinary team approach to patient care, teaching and research, and brings the best of what family medicine has to offer to their patients, residents, and medical students.
There are no formal electives.
