Undergraduate MD Program Details​: Scarborough Hospital

Scarborough Health Network General Campus (with adjacent Central Teaching Unit), Scarborough Health Network Birchmount Campus, Community Doctor’s Offices in Scarborough, Bowmanville and Pickering

Type of Practice

Clerks wil be placed in a community-based family practice office. These offices may have groups of physicians or single physicians acting as preceptor.

Location of Practice

Clerks will be placed in offices that are commuter-friendly. If you have access to a car, additional office placements are available. Free parking is available at physician offices. Low cost parking is available for hospital-based seminars.

Special Features of Site

Clerks will have the opportunity to participate in a learning experience where they will be the primary learner.

Mandatory Experience

In addition to the mandatory sessions downtown during the first week of rotation, there are mandatory seminars held in conjunction with clerks from other hospital sites.

Clerkship Electives/Selectives

All clerks will do a 1-day palliative care experience during their FM rotation.
