Clerks wil be placed in a community-based family practice office. These offices may have groups of physicians or single physicians acting as preceptor.
Clerks will be placed in offices that are commuter-friendly. If you have access to a car, additional office placements are available. Free parking is available at physician offices. Low cost parking is available for hospital-based seminars.
Clerks will have the opportunity to participate in a learning experience where they will be the primary learner.
In addition to the mandatory sessions downtown during the first week of rotation, there are mandatory seminars held in conjunction with clerks from other hospital sites.
Accommodations can be made for a variety of selectives including palliative care, pain medicine, sports medicine, diabetic clinics and home visits.
