About Early Career Supports for First Five Years in Practice

Your first five years in practice is an exciting time as you have culminated your training and begin to shape your career in Family Medicine. We know that alongside the joy of establishing your practice, there may be challenges and questions around practice management, personal finance and career planning. We are committed to supporting all DFCM graduates in their First Five years of Practice with a dedicated Faculty Lead, Continuing Professional Development, Locum and Career Supports, and Mentorship. 

Dr. Ryan Banach is the Early Career Supports Lead in the Office of Health Systems Partnership.

Locum postings are for office-based comprehensive Family Medicine, associated with a DFCM faculty member, or a Family Physician based in the Ontario Health Toronto Region.

A monthly series of practical talks for early career Family Physicians with lots of opportunity to tap into the expertise of speakers and get answers to those questions you never thought to ask during residency. 

Family Medicine Community Longitudinal Leadership Enrichment Opportunity (FM-CLLEO) is recruiting Family Physicians to bring students into their office for a limited block of 3 half days.

Information specific to each of the 8 OHT's in OH Toronto Region to orient new physicians about how to access local community resources to start their practice.
