AI & Dialogue Workshop Series this June
We're excited to invite you to two upcoming workshops we've put together at the University of Toronto's Medical Imaging and Institute of Medical Science. Both are free on Zoom, and both explore something we think is timely and important: how AI can support better dialogue, not just faster workflows.
The first workshop, AI, Academia, and the Art of Dialogue: Exploring LLMs in Clinical and Scientific Research (June 17, 5-6:30 PM), looks at how thoughtful use of large language models can improve civil discourse: how we communicate, collaborate, and navigate disagreement in academic environments, whether you're a trainee, researcher, or faculty member.
The second workshop, AI, Empathy, and the Art of Dialogue: A Medical Humanities Workshop (June 22, 5-6:30 PM), takes that conversation into the clinic. It focuses on how AI can support patient-centered communication, from translating complex imaging reports into language patients can understand, to maintaining cultural humility and empathy in an AI-mediated healthcare environment.
Both sessions are 90 minutes and include live demonstrations, small group activities, and open Q&A.
