Edward Xie, MD MSc CCFP(EM) DTM&H is an emergency physician and Clinician Investigator at University Health Network and an Assistant Professor at University of Toronto's Department of Family & Community Medicine. He completed an MSc in Health Policy at the London School of Economics and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. Dr. Xie has worked abroad for Médecins Sans Frontières and Global Health Emergency Medicine, and sits on the board of Canadian Association of Physicians for the Environment.

Research Synopsis

Dr. Edward Xie has research interests in global health, equity, social and environmental determinants of health, policy, and economics. Current projects include addictions, infectious disease, and climate change-related research with an underlying theme of health equity. Dr. Xia welcomes cross-sectoral collaboration on future projects.
