Research Synopsis

I conduct critical social science research, interrogating various aspects of health professions education.  I frequently use Foucauldian critical discourse analysis in my work.  Some recent areas of research interest and focus include the history of medical education, globalization of medical education, caring and compassion in health professions education and practice, and interprofessional collaboration.
